Terrible warranty service

I bought a custom recliner in 2017, for over 1,2000! I was never happy, with the way it reclines from the beginning, not at all smooth. In 2020, the frame had to be replaced. Now, 2021, the same thing again, but worse! I called September 17th, I received a claim #, and was told I would get a call from a tech in 3-5 daysover a week later, still waiting. Lazyboy is not what it used to be, it is not made as sturdy as they used to be.

Outrageous wait time for product

My wife needed a recliner that would make it easy on her with her disabilities. I bought one back in early May of 2021. I was told it would be ready July 5. Then they told me it wouldn't be ready till August 24. Then they tell me 3 more weeks. It finally arrived September 24 2021. This is 5 months But it came too late as my wife passed away August 30th. She didn't even get a chance to use it. Houses are built in less time. A big thumbs down to lazy boy company

I have contacted CEO of Lazyboy and his secretary clld back and said nothing they can do. I also sent pics of fabric on accent chair that had runs in the fabric and she said it was normal.

When I asked store to show me the swatch of fabric that had a run in it, they couldn’t find the swatch. Just beware......

I purchased a sofa, recliner and accent chair. After it was delivered I noticed that when I sat in recliner, I started getting congested and running nose along with cough. I have gone to allergist, pulmonary doctor, had CT scan of lungs, to no avail. I have finally figured it out that its the furniture. Every time I sit in recliner, it starts happening, cant breath, wheezing and nose run & cough. Its terrible. Just beware before buying anything from Lazyboy. Plus it stinks like chemicals.

Although our product had been paid for since the day of purchase, the company claimed they were unable to give us any time frame for delivery. Shortly after I submitted my complaint, however, I was contacted by the company and a delivery date was scheduled. We will see if they meet that date!

Can't assemble chair

Lazboy got a serviceman over promptly. Within 1-2 minutes, he had the back on. I had spent literally hours trying to do this. He did adroitly us a screwdriver to help. Within 5 minutes the chair was up and running. Very good service!

Remote light always on .

Lazboy - Remote light always on .
To solve the issue with the remote control light always being on and not lighting up the room at night , I sewed a small pouch where I can hang off the side of the chair and slip the control in it when not in use . That solved the problem .

Preferred solution: Making a suggestion of a pouch to put the remote in so the light is not visible at night , made it out-of soft vinyl material .

Peeling leather

Haven't heard anything further from LazBoy about my claim. I am sure this is a closed matter with them. Just want to warn other consumers that they do not stand behind their products.

Purchased a leather recliner about 4 years ago. All of a sudden it is peeling all over.

Each day another area starts peeling. We are 2 adults who occupy our home seasonally. Received a leather care kit when we purchased the chair and faithfully used it twice a year. Purchased a 10 year warranty, but when I contacted the company I was told the warranty does not cover cracked or peeling leather.

Contacted the store operations manager at the store where we purchased the chair. I was asked to forward pictures. After about 6 weeks, I was told sorry the chair is only covered by a 1 year warranty. Contacted customer care and forwarded more pictures.

Kept calling them and following up and now after 6 weeks of waiting for a reply I am told that it is normal wear and tear. There is no way this is normal west and tear. There is something either defective with the leather, or the leather care kit I was given is causing the peeling leather. I have purchased Lazboy products for my second home and have always been satisfied.

I have even recommended Lazboy products to a neighbor who ended up purchasing a couch and recliner. After this experience, I will never purchase another Lazboy product, and will tell anyone who is thinking about it to stay away from Lazboy.

We ordered a furniture from Lazboy in January 2021 and were told it would take 20 weeks to take delivery on our furniture. We are now being told it will be mid September before our furniture arrives.

This furniture has been paid in full and was a significant amount. We find this unacceptable. You were more than happy to take our money, but now you're not delivering what we paid for. Furthermore, no one seems to be able to answer why there is a 9 month delay.

Would you want to pay $8373.93 for furniture to then be given a line of baloney? Please don't insult our intelligence by saying this is Covid related. Ethan Allen, who also makes furniture in the U.S., is not pulling this on their customers.

My mother ordered a sofa in April and received it in late June. We would like some real answers in the next few days so that we can make some decisions!!

User's recommendation: Awful experience with waiting for our furniture. They highlight the made in America feature but then lie to you on the delivery date. We ordered furniture in January with a wait of 20 weeks for delivery. We're still waiting for our furniture and were just told it would be mid September before we get it. No one can actually answer what the delay is. What's worse is the furniture has been paid in full and I'm pretty sure our sales person has been paid her commission. This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with.

Defective products

My lazy boy chair broke before the end of the first year. It has been a nightmare , hours waiting on the phone. Over three weeks before someone came to inspect the chair.They ascertained that the chair needs to be replaced. I was told in a couple of days someone would call me. Over two weeks and no one has called. Shame on you Lazy Boy.

Do not buy La-Z-Boy furniture

Bought sofa, loveseat, recliner and rug in Dec 2020. It was delivered June or July of 2021. The recliner after a month or so the material used is breaking down like it is rotten. Had me send pictures and they determined that it was from wear and tear. Come on after 2 months. You have got to be kidding. We spent $9000.00 plus for this furniture and it all sucks. If you are actually considering buy from La-Z-Boy you need to run. The company offers no help and could care less. Hoover Al store. There is no customer service and the store manager hides. Will not take a call or return a call.

I purchased a top of the line recliner with heat and massage and power. I received a chair without heat and massage. They are trying to tell me I paid for a top shelf recliner, but not really.. This purchase was made in Whitehall, Pa Beware of their salespeople. No wonder there is more customer dissatisfaction with this company then satisfied company d customers.
