Lazboy Complaints and Reviews
"Long story short, La-Z-Boy sells an inferior product, and they won't acknowledge its problems or reimburse their customers. This couch is still less than 2 years old." This from the review of another dissatisfied customer. We have the same experience with our sleeper sofa purchased in 2013 with a five year extended warranty for the bonded leather-- and are told that because the peeling is not caused by an accident, it is not covered by our...Read more
In March I purchased an electric lift-recliner from Lazy Boy for my 93-year-old mother. Right after Thanksgiving she was startled to see smoke coming from the remote/push button controls. The control device actually melted, and the chair was stuck in the full recline postion and we were unable to move it. When I called Lazy Boy customer service, the individual told me the first available date for a service tech to come to the house was December...Read more
I took months to choose a new sofa. I have had multiple back problems and I was hoping to find a couch that would be just perfect for me. I fell in love with the Dexter couch ($2,175.10 on sale) at La-Z-Boy but I kept looking just in case I could find something that would actually be supportive for my back. On one of my trips to the store, a sales person showed me a remote control lumbar support sofa. I was impressed but I also could not afford...Read more

Poor quality. Looked for comfortable furniture so got lazy boy. Not very comfortable. Swivel chair creaks, recliner sofa requires too much leg strength to lower footrest.

Terrible experience! My brand new sofa came with very strange colors and some one came and change only the arm, after waiting almost 3 months , we call again and the company said that our case was closet!
I wanted a LaZBoy leather recliner for a large man for years because I'm tall and kind of large (6'2", 240 pounds). I found a beautiful tan leather one and paid a large price ($1,400 or so) because of the experiences I had with LaZBoy recliners that were made up until the 2000's or so. This recliner was purchased from a LaZBoy gallery in 2012. The inferior quality is beyond ridiculous. The leather quickly turned dark and the rocking mechanism...Read more
We paid in excess of $1000. The structure of the arms is falling apart. We are seniors and live in a Seniors only community. I weigh less than 200lbs. and my wife weighs lass than 150lb. We are both healthy and do not struggle to get in or out of the chair. The structure of the chair is falling apart over a period less than 3 years. The arms are sagging and have a sway look to them. I Called Lazy Boy and explained what is happening to the chair....Read more

I had my lazy boy recliner for two years when the springs in the cushion started to pop. I called Lazy Boy and they said that the parts were covered but not the labor. I am the only one who sits on the chair and I have no children so I have no idea why the springs would just start popping breaking or stretching the chair is only two years old. And I paid $800 for the chair! I called Lazy Boy and had them send a repair man to my house it was...Read more

The problem with Lazyboy is that after they take your money and so call deliver your furniture they are definitely through with you as a customer. My experience with Lazyboy was with their so called Customer Service and how they handle their customers in general. When I went in the second time to buy additional furniture the sales rep was not even there when I arrived. She was apparently late, because she was selling someone else furniture than...Read more
The dye on my 2 year old lazy boy is rubbing off and is a red color under the brown. Lazy boy will not repair and I am disappointed in your customer service as I even bought a 10 year warranty. The quality of their dyeing process is inadequate and should be improved for the life of the chair and lazyboy should repair my chair or give a refund or provide another chair. The dye is rubbing off. The dye is rubbing off. The dye is rubbing off. The...Read more
