bought a 5 year fabric protection plan through lazy boy when i bought a recliner.guardsman refuses to respond to a request for service.

i have a burn hole in the arm rest which is covered by the 5 years protection. the reason they gave me is i didn't reported it in a timely manner. (five days). contacted guardsman by phone and was told they will not repair or refund the cost of the plan and don't put a new claim in because they will not honor it.

called lazy boy and talked to mgr and was told he would see what he could do but didn't think he could resolve issue.

i've called everywhere and ran out of avenues.maybe you can help???????????????

Monetary Loss: $800.

It's not a defect.You damaged it.

That's like getting bleach on it & wanting it fixed.Common sense.

I too bought a 5 year warranty at LazyBoys with GUARDSMAN as the Warranty Agent.I called and mada a clain on the phone to Guardsman and the incompetent person taking the call must have been her first day - she was very incompetent.

Got a letter one week later declining my claim.

Called to request a copy of the warranty they were make the dential from and she said "you were given that a Lazy Boys" didnt want to send me anything.DON't buy ANY GUARDSMAN PROTECTION PLAN....THEY ARE NOT THE COMPANY THEY USE TO BE - WASTE OF MONEY.
