Less than 6 months ago got a big mans recliner the thing started squeaking right off the bat. I had another lazboy for 18 years and it still was fine.

The old chair was made with plywood the frame was fine for 18 years but to my surprise, the 6-month-old chair started leaning to one side the back is falling off and the padding is collapsed in the seat. I turned the chair over to find what had happened and the thing is made of particle board and all the screws have fallen out the dowels are not there and looks like no glue the holds the rocker to the frame. I called customer service and asked why they are using particle board

that can't hold a screw and not plywood as it shows in all their advertisements and was told by the supervisor that the particle board they use was made for lazboy is a lot stronger than plywood and is so strong it is used to hold the Sandras fault together. I asked her who told her that one ??

Then the repair tech told me the particle board is so strong it is used in Florida for hurricane protection. And maybe so until it gets wet and falls apart. It clear that Lazboy is cheating the consumers with false advertising and poor materials. Just look if you plan on getting Lazboy.

what used to be great is now cheap and way overpriced. The company must now be run by politicians that think to lie about materials and workmanship is the way to make more money.

Forget about the consumer. Just look for yourself when you think about Lazboy
