Lazboy - Faulty recliner parts.
The small wooden dowels used in construction of the rocker failed/broke off. Until la z boy resolves their quality control issues buyer beware.
$ .50 cents in parts broke. between $60.00 & $120.00 labor to fix the problem. Shop around. The chair cost us $900.00 and broke in 1 1/2 yrs.
Talked the LAZBOY headquarters and they said they would furnish the same parts with I feel are junk at no cost.
I was told they felt the part were fine and if they failed again they would send more. I could continue to have the chair repaired as long as I could afford the $60.00 an hour labor.
Reason of review: Most of the above..
Monetary Loss: $900.
Preferred solution: Full refund.

Had the same problem with broken wood dowels. I weigh over 300 lbs and have used my recliner for almost 10 years before breaking them.
Did not bother going back to the factory, $2 for new dowels, already had wood glue and 5 minutes labor fixed my chair. Are we hearing the whole story?
We are having the same issue. Where are the dowels located? Will try to fix it myself.
