Pissed Consumer Interviews ?

I bought a Lazy Boy recliner in what the sales person calls "top grade leather." The cost on sale: $1515.04. After a year or so, the leather on the arms cracked, the seat cushion leather discolored and cracked; and now, the head rest leather disintegrated leaving me with a gaping hole through the leather so that now, the head rest shows the cushion stuffing. The local store, in essence said "pound sand." I called the La-Z-Boy corporate office. The representative there was much more polite but it seems that they can do nothing much either other than "suggest" to the local store that they might offer a modest discount if I wanted to buy another chair. For the price, the performance of the chair covering remains outrageous, far below any reasonable standard of quality. I even asked if, at my cost, they would recover the chair in a more durable fabric. I did not want to take a chance on the same covering. Even when I suggested that I would buy a second chair in the more durable replacement fabric so that I would have two matching chairs, they were unable to accommodate me. I will never buy a Lay-Z-Boy product again.
Paid $3000, had furniture for 2 weeks when the material started to get deep wrinkles in it. Stuffing in seats is crumpled and bumpy. Opened up a ticket with service center. Rep came out and took pics. Didin't get a call for over 6 weeks so I called them back. ...

If you keep pushing they will exchange it for something else. I bought a leather sectional with the same experience.

Now I have a $3,000 credit because of the difference in price and they won’t refund money.

I have to spend it there. Still terrible!

Same problem here. Leather is breaking down.

Purchased the extended warranty but they don’t cover cracking and breakdown. $1700.00 for a chair not to mention my couch.

Had a repair man not connected to them repair it. But he told me the middle of the headrest is breaking down too!!

Been there, but got a little longer time but with minimal (1 per month average) use lifeciut of my air slumber. And the latest, it's developed it's own hernia in the middle. And then there's the unique sizing, to more or less for e you to replace it with a lazyboy mattress.

My wife and I purchased , not one, but two leather Lazy-boy recliners in April 2017. When we saw them, we did not hesitate to purchase, fore, they were beautiful and backed by the Lazy-boy moniker. In spite of the fact that this was our first Lazy-boy purchase, we...

I encourage all consumers to think twice before doing business with Lazyboy. A better choice would be to visit their showroom and jot down item names and numbers, and then purchase those items on line with Wayfair: in so doing, you will save yourself an awful lot of money and aggravation.

I have precisely the same problem, on the dark brown mahogany Aster model. I bought it in 2015.

By 2016 the headrest had deteriorated badly. The local Lazy Boy store in Knoxville Tennessee replace the chair back. The replacement chair back also deteriorated within a year, at which point the local lazboy store refuse to do anything.

Is there a company such as the referenced Mathis Brothers that could potentially repair the chair? I should also note that the right arm rest is also deteriorating in the same manner.

I purchased a lazy boy recliner in October 2017 and financed it and paid it Home world Kapolei where I bought it. It did a little better for a month or so and then the same exact problem occurred. The store called me and asked how the chair was and I filed a complaint. They said they were sorry but the store no longer carried that chair...I was going to just tolerate the problem since the chair fits my ailing hips. It has become so annoying that I can no longer tolerate the slipping foot rest as it has worsened...Please advise
